How do I add a time filter at the indicator level?

The platform allows you to add geography and time filters at the indicator level, providing you with additional flexibility in your analysis. To add a filter at an indicator level:

  1. Click on an indicator you have already selected and has been added to your query.
  2. Click on ‘Add+’ under ‘Filters.’
  3. Specify your geography or time filter.

By combining indicator-level time filters with “Date Extraction” group bys, you are able to compare time buckets (e.g. quarters) for two time periods (Year 1 and Year 2) side by side on the bar chart. Consider the following steps:

  1. Select an indicator (“Number of Pneumonia Cases”) twice.
  2. For each indicator, set a new time filter corresponding to each year (e.g. 2017 and 2018).
  3. Add a date extraction group by (e.g. Quarter of Year)
  4. Go to the bar chart to view your results.
