How do I create an alert?

To create an alert, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Alerts” at the top of your screen.
  2. Click on the blue “Create Alert” button. A screen will appear that will allow you to choose the indicator you would like to build your alert from (e.g. total malaria cases). You can only choose one indicator for each alert.
  3. Choose the level of aggregation for the indicator (e.g. district). Your alert will be triggered when a threshold is crossed for all entities in the given aggregation. When creating a new alert, you can filter it to a specific location and choose the dimension (ex. select the required districts) and receive notifications if any district exceeds the threshold.
  4. Decide on the time bucket of interest (e.g. month).
  5. Set a threshold that will trigger the alert (e.g. 100).

An example of an alert creation would be: I want to trigger an alert every time there are more than 100 malaria cases in any district in my country in the course of a month. Your indicator of interest would be total malaria cases. Your level of aggregation would be the selected districts. Your time bucket would be a month and 100 would be your trigger threshold.
