How do I enable dashboard group bys?

You can enable group bys that apply to all visualizations in your dashboard. Enabling this will add a group by control to the dashboard in the same way as dashboard filters.

To add group bys:

1. Go to ‘Filter Configuration’ tab in ‘Settings’.
2. Enable the ‘Allow users to use group bys on this dashboards’
3. Choose which group by (geography, date group or extraction) you would like to be available to your users

You can decide where on your screen (top or left of your dashboard) you would like to have the group by dropdown. You can make your selection in the ‘QUERY PANE ORIENTATION’ section on the ‘Filter Configuration’ tab in ‘Settings’.
