How do I exclude visualizations from dashboard filters or group bys?

By default, dashboard filters and group-bys apply to all visualizations in a dashboard. But if you would like a visualization in a dashboard to remain unaffected by filters or group bys and always show the same result (For example, you may want to have nationwide, all time Big Number visualizations at the top of your dashboard always show those values) while allowing dashboard viewers to filter the rest of the dashboard’s visualizations to specific locations or times, take the following steps.

1. Click the settings icon beside the Filter or Group By buttons on the dashboard, and
2. Deselect the visualizations you want to remain unchanged by filters or group bys.
