How do I share my dashboard via email?

You can share a dashboard via email by clicking on “Share” at the top of the dashboard screen. The email can be sent to multiple internal or external users at the same time with the option to embed the dashboard as a PDF or an image within the communication. By default, what the recipients will see in the attachment will be restricted to their dashboard and data access rights within the platform. If you want the recipients to see the dashboard as you would see it regardless of their access rights, click on the cog at bottom of the window and untick ‘Attachments respect recipients’ data access rights’.

If your dashboard has a filter on it, you’ll notice the ‘Share with current settings’ option which is enabled by default. This means that the email will reflect the dashboard with dashboard wide filters and group bys applied, even if the dashboard is not saved.

This allows you to use dashboard filters and group bys to drill down and investigate and share your findings without needing to change the saved state of the dashboard for others.
