What is a group?

Groups make it easy to manage the access rights for many users at a time. All users in a group will get access to all of the roles, dashboards and alerts that are assigned to the group.

For example, if you want to give view access to the Malaria Official Dashboard to District Health Officers, the best approach is to create a Group called “Malaria Official Dashboard for DHOs”, set the required permissions and add all the DHOs to the Group. The alternative, setting the permission of each DHO, is time consuming and there is no option to filter by user permission type currently.
