What is the Data Upload tool?

The Data Upload tool provides an interface for users to upload and update data for static datasets such as Excel or Dataprep -based integrations. This functionality allows Data Managers to directly manage the updating of their static datasets directly from the platform.

Since integrations are built based on the formatting of the original dataset, it is important that any new data uploaded for existing static integrations follow the conventions of the original data. In order to ensure this, the Data Upload functionality automatically validates new data. This validation feature checks if the format of the new datasource matches the existing input format for the integration. If the formats do not match, the error is identified so that the user can correct it and re-upload the file. This feature helps avoid pipeline failures due to inconsistent file formats.
