How do I export a map?
There are two options for exporting maps. The first is to add a map to a dashboard, where it will automatically update when new entity data is added. To add your map to a dashboard, click on the ‘Export’ button at the bottom right of the left panel, then click on ‘+ Add to Dashboard’. A dialogue box opens. If you want to create a new dashboard and add the visualization to it, click ‘Create Dashboard.’ If you want to add the visualization to an existing dashboard, explore ‘My Dashboards’ or ‘Others Dashboards’ dropdowns to find the right dashboard. When done, click ‘Save’ to retain your changes.
See the ‘Dashboards’ section for more information about building, curating and administering dashboard resources.
The second option is to download a map. To download a map, click on the ‘Export’ button at the bottom right of the left panel, then click on ‘Download’. You will notice that there are two options:
- *Current size*: the shape and size of the map currently seen on your screen
- *Custom size*: allows you to customize the height and width of the image in pixels (this option is useful when a high resolution image is required. A higher resolution would require a higher pixel count)
